Wild Mushroom Risotto

Description

Garlic Butter Steak is a classic dish that highlights premium ingredients and precise cooking. A perfectly seared steak finished with aromatic garlic butter delivers bold flavor, rich texture, and timeless appeal.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 high-quality steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

Preparation Method

  1. Prepare the Steak: Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the Pan: Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. Add olive oil and allow it to become hot but not smoking.
  3. Sear the Steak: Place steaks in the pan and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until a golden-brown crust forms. Reduce heat slightly after flipping.
  4. Prepare Garlic Butter: Lower the heat, add butter and garlic to the pan. Stir gently until the butter melts and the garlic becomes fragrant.
  5. Baste and Finish: Spoon the garlic butter over the steaks repeatedly for 1–2 minutes. Add herbs if using.
  6. Rest and Serve: Remove steaks from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm with extra garlic butter spooned on top.

Chef’s Note

For best results, use high-quality meat and avoid overcooking. Simple seasoning and proper heat control allow the natural flavors to shine.
